Finding a Reliable Commercial Roofing Contractor
If we had a penny for every third party property manager who has come to us for help with a roof gone wrong and started their story with: “My client said he knew a guy…” Well…let’s just say we’d have a lot of pennies.
Our clients come to us for help. We replace dozens of roofs each year that are less than ten years old because a previous contractor did not install the system correctly. We wish it wasn’t so, but, there it is.
The fact is, when an unqualified contractor installs a roof, they are putting your asset at risk. Not only can incorrect installation leave other building elements vulnerable in the event of leaks, it can also void a manufacturer warranty.
It pays to be suspicious of drastically low prices. A quote well below average often results in building owners having to pay twice: once for the unqualified roofer and again for the qualified roofer to fix the problem.
Manufacturer certifications, association memberships, health and safety standards, insurance and bonding are just some of the indicators of whether (or not) the contractor in question is reputable and accountable.
